Subtitle editing
| # | ||
|---|---|---|
Create and edit subtitles for voice recordings, ASMR, or video in your browser. Adjust timing with audio waveforms and a timeline, compare two languages side by side, and export SRT / LRC / TXT.
Getting started
- Import media, or create a blank project with a specified duration.
- Import a subtitle file, or add an empty subtitle track and start typing.
- Drag subtitles on the timeline to adjust timing, or edit their start and end times directly.
- When finished, choose the languages and format, then export your subtitles.
Each language has its own subtitle track. Display two languages side by side for easier editing.
Subtitle dragging tips
- Drag onto the timeline:Select a single subtitle without a start time and drag it onto the timeline to set its timing.
- Drag back to the editor:Drag a subtitle from the timeline back to the subtitle editor to clear its timing while keeping its text.
Useful shortcuts

- MMerge subtitles
- Merge subtitlesSelect consecutive subtitles on the same track and press M. Their text is joined with line breaks, and their timing covers the selected range.
Press Shift+K to split subtitles on all tracks at the playhead. The playhead must be between a subtitle’s start and end times.
Which subtitle format should I choose?
| Format | What is kept? | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| SRT | Text, start time, end time | General subtitles that need complete timing. |
| LRC | Text and start time | Display text line by line at set times. End times are not kept. |
| TXT | Plain text | Organize scripts, translate, or proofread. Timing is not kept. |
If you are unsure, start with SRT. Choose TXT if you only need the text.
These formats save subtitle data, but not the editor’s multitrack row alignment. On re-import, alignment is determined again using timing and order.
